POLITICAL SCIENCE :    PAPER - I

Time Allowed: 3 Hours     Full Marks: 100

If the questions attempted are in excess of the prescribed no only the questions attempted first up to the prescribed number shall be valued and the remaining ones as ignored.

Answers may be written either in English or in Bengali or in Nepali but all answers must be in one and the same language.

7. What are the main principles mentioned in the directive Principles of State Policy ?  How far have their incorporation in the constitution been meaningful ?     15

8. What do you understand by Public Interest Litigation ?  Examine the growing importance of Public Interest Litigations in India.     15

9. Examine the functions and position of the chief Minister of a state.      15

10. Analyse the main difficulties faced by Indian bureaucracy in the discharge of its functions.     15
