2.  Discuss any four of the following with justification :

    (b)  An evidence for semiconservative mode of chromosomal replication,

    (c)  XXY human are Klinefelter make but XXY Drosophik are female,

    (d)  y chromosome is genetically active in make sex dcterminatin of human,

    (e)  Role of Amber, Opal, Ochre in protein synthesis,

3.  (a)  A man belongs io A blood group while his wife has B blood group. Predict the probable genotype and phesv-type of their offspring,

     (b)  Define multiple allele. Prove that ABO blood group is a multiple allele,

     (c)  What is Bombay phenotype ?

     (d)  What does Rh factor stands for ?       8+2+5+3+2= 20

 

4.  What is placenta ?   Mention the types of placenta.  Describe with suitable diagram the formation of placenta of rabbit. State the function of placenta.      2+4+10+4-20

 

5.  Write notes on the following (any four) :

     (i)  Acrosome reaction,

     (ii)  Organizer concept,

     (iii)  Extra embryonic membrene.

     (iv)  Oestrous cycle,

      (v)  Phenetic and cladistic classification

      (vi)  Law of priority.

6.  Describe how nerve impulse is propagated along a nerve fibre.  What is saltatory conduction ?  Name the instrument by which nerve impulse can be measured.  What is Spike potential ?  Describe the mechanism of synaptic transmission.

 

7.  What is Hamburger phenomenon ?  Briefly explain that phenomenon which involved in CO2 transport What is sarcomere ?  Illustrate the mechanism of muscle contraction.     2+10+ 2+6=20

 

8.  Write short notes (any four) ;

     (a)  Osmoconformer and Osmoregutor 

     (b)  Peptide linkage and Glycosidic linkage,

     (c)  Essential fatty acid and essential amino acid,

     (d)  Chylomicron and Micelles,

     (e)  Competitive and non-competitive "enzyme inhibition,
