1. Discuss, in brief, Manu's views on the duties and responsibilities of a sovereign ruler, i.e., the King.
2. Evaluate the place of Manabendranath Roy as a Marxist thinker in the Indian political thought.
3. Discuss Marxist view of revolution. Is violence an integral part of the process of revolution ?
4. Make a brief analysis of the nature and patterns of coalition politics with special reference to the working of National Democratic Alliance Government in India from 1999 to 2004.
5. How would you define Internationalism ? Is it incompatible with nationalism ? Give reasons for your answer.
6. Do you agree with the view that the people should have the right to resist the state ?

9. What is the constitutional basis of Judicial Review in India ? Discuss its main features with special reference to the power of Indian Supreme Court in this respect.
10. What is communalism ? Account for the growth of communalism in India in post-independence era.
