Group A
Answer any three questions.
1. Discuss the forces endangering the process of unity in Indian society.
2. Examine the changes that have taken place in the political system as result of involvement of caste organizations.
3. What does Srinivas mean by Sanskritization.
4. Discuss the role of social legislations framed in post-independent India in changing Hindu marriage and family system.
5. Discuss the constitutional provisions to ensure the rights of women. Analyse the level of their consciousness regarding these rights.
Group B
Answer any two questions.
6. Critically analyses the causes of poverty and the effective measures taken in poverty alleviation.
7. Point out the major reasons of unemployment problem in India. How can this problem be solved ?
8. Assess the constitutional safeguards and other welfare measures for SCs. STs and other backward classes in India.
9. Examine the effects of polulatibn explosion. What are the measures suggested to control population explosion ?
