Naval Dockyard, Mumbai ND (MBI) invites applications from eligible Indian citizens to recruit 264 candidates for the posts of Boats Crew – Lascar and Fireman. Boats Crew Lascar-I: 207 posts (Gen—105; SC—32; ST—20; OBC—50). Out of total 20 for Ex-Servicemen, 10 for Sportsperson and 06 for PWD candidates.
Boats Crew Fireman: 57 posts. (Gen—30; SC—3; ST—6; OBC—18). Out of total vacancies 06 for Ex-Servicemen, 03 for Sportsperson and 02 for PWD candidates.
Essential Qualification (Above Both Posts):
(i) 10thStandard passes from a recognized Board/Institution.
(ii) Should know swimming
(iii) 03 Years Service on a ship / craft from a registered vessel
Age Limit: Candidate should be between 18 and 35 Years
Written Examination and Syllabus: Eligible candidates in each post would be sent call letters for appearing in a common written examination consisting of 100 objective type questions prepared, based on 10th standard syllabus comprising of General Science, Maths, General Knowledge, Reasoning etc. The question paper will be provided in English and Hindi language only.
Physical Efficiency Test:
Swimming: 50 meters without any floating aid.
Running: 800 meters in 06 minute
