3. What is a cyclone ? Discuss with an example the impact of a super cyclone in tropical areas, indicating the precautions to be taken by the administrative authorities.
4. Explain the arid cycle of erosion and identify the erosional and depositional features of an arid landscape.
5. Write short notes on any two of the following :
(a) Global warming
(b) Ozone hole and its impact on human beings
(c) Social Forestry and Joint Forest Management
(d) Seduction zones.

6. Explain the meaning of ‘geo-politics’ and discuss the geo- Political role of India in South-east Asia.
7. What is meant by ‘Urban privacy’ ? Explain the significance of the concept in the context of hierarchy of settlements proposed by Zipf and Philbrick.
