Fine Arts

It is a career for those who have an urge to design and create.
Many colleges offer regular degree programmes like Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA). A student can opt from a wide range of specialisations such as furniture, painting, sculpture, art, applied art, textile, graphic, ceramic, exhibition and product design, plastic arts and video programming. Some institutes offer diploma courses in Fine Arts.

 

Duration:

Bachelor of Fine Arts  (BFA) : 4-5 years.

Diploma course: 2-3 years.

Masters course (after completing BFA): 2 years.

 


brtity BFA Course: 10+2 • Masters Course: BFA • Diploma courses: 10th standard/equivalent. Besides this academic qualification, the individual should have a creative bent of mind and an eye for detail.
To enroll for courses in Fine Arts, an entrance examination is conducted to test the candidates aesthetic skills.

 

The test generally consists of

  1. Study from life-face of a human model to be drawn in pencil and
  2. a water colour painting on a specified theme.
