1. Define social change. Explain the relative significance of the technological and cultural factors of social change.
2. Discuss critically Comte's Law of Three Stages.
3. What is culture ? How is it related to presonality. ?
4. Distinguish between primary group and secondary group. Is it true that primary group is losing importnce in modern society ?
5. What is meant by power ? How would you differentiate it from authority ? Point out the bases of authority in society.
Group B
Answer any two questions.
6. How is magic different from religion and science ? Give examples of the influence of magic in modern Indian society.
7. "Sociology is the study of social order in the midst of change". Explain the statement.
8. What is a questionnaire ? What are its different forms ? If you want to survey an illiterate group of persons what kind of questionnaire would you use ?
