Servomechanism or servo term indicate the feedback control systems in which the controlled variable is mechanical position or time derivatives of position, e.g. velocity and acceleration.
A servo system mainly consists of three basic components -
- Controlling device
- Output measuring sensor
- Feedback system.
This is an automatic closed loop control system. Here the device is controlled by generating an error signal by comparing output signal and reference input signal.
