1.  Critically discuss normal cycle of fluvial erosion as propounded by W.M. Davis. Specify the interruptions of the cycle.    14+6

 

2.  What is tropic level ?  Discuss the salient features of forest ecosystem in Humid Tropics ?  Why does biodiversity reach its maxima in Tropical Rainforest ?     5+10+5

 

3.  What is Azonal Soil? Define Soil pH. Discuss the formation and salient features of Lateritic Soil with special reference to India.    4+4+12

 

4.  Distinguish between air pollutants and green house gases. Why is the earth considered as a green house ?   Discuss possible consequences of green house effect.     5+10+5

 

5.  Write short notes on any two of the following :    10+10=20

    (a) Classification of coasts.

    (b) Submarine canyon and submarine ridge.

    (c) Corrosion and corrasion.

    (d) Coral reff and atoll.

                                                             Answer any two questions.

 

6.  Give a short resume on the evolution of political-administrative boundaries of India since 1947. Discuss the impact of partition of India.     10+10
