There was a hare. He met with a tortoise. The hare laughed at the tortoise. He said, "you cannot walk with your short legs. But I can walk very fast." "Yes, I am sure, I will beat you in a race," said the tortoise. The hare was full of joy, for he was quite sure of an easy win. They started from the same place at the same time. The hare began to run very fast. The tortoise was left far behind. The hare said to himself, 'There is no need for me to run so fast. Let me have a little nap now." So saying, the hare fell asleep by the road side. After a long sleep when he woke up he found to his surprise that the tortoise had already reached the goal. The hare felt much shame. The tortoise laughed at the hare and went off with a feeling of great victory.
Moral : Slow and steady wins the race.
