The Editor,

Esteemed Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to express my opinion about the extent of the use of animals in the scientific researh is acceptable.

Since a long time, we know that the practice of killing and using of animals in the scientific research of Bio-science and medicine is going on. The researchers first apply their newly invented medicines and other chemicals on the body of some animals such as Ginipig, Rabbit, Cat etc. because the inventers want to observe the practical effect of their products, specially they follow the toxide effect of the new items.

Now-a-days the killing of animals also going on for making some costly and rare cosmetic items. The chemists producing companies uses some biological ingredients from the body of the animals for making their modern highly effective items. By these products the products get a lot of economic success.

Here is my protest, I know that our civilization must go ahead, it will never move in back. So scientific development through research is very essential today and the world is now moving forward very rapidly and by using the latest products of various sectors we want to live a comfortable and gorgeous life. But, at the same time we have to remember that if the slaughtering of animals are going on indiscriminately then in near future, the ecological balance of our environment will be lost and certainly it will destroy our lives as well as the lives of the new generations. No Science or no research can resist or stop this damage of environment.

In view of the above, we have to be very careful about the use of animals in the scientific research. I think, the honourable scientist of our country as well the world should think in this matter and try to minimize the conventional method of animal killing for scientific research and find out some alternatives of it so that their research will go on without the massive destruction of animal lives. I am hopeful about their conscience and wisdom.

Thanking you                                                          Yours truely
