The Public Service Commission, West Bengal will hold the Panchayat Accounts and Audit Officer (Special) Recruitment Examination, 2016 on the results of which recruitment will be made to the posts of Panchayat Accounts and Audit Officer. The rules of the examination and other particulars are stated in the following paragraphs. A candidate should verify from the notified rules that he/she is eligible for admission to the examination. The conditions prescribed cannot be relaxed.
The Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz., (i) Written Examination (Conventional Type) and (ii) Personality Test. A number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Written Examination will be called to appear at the Personality Test.
The Written Examination will be held at Kolkata centre only in the month of February, 2017 or there about followed by Personality Test. The Personali ty Test of the candidates to be selected on the results of the written examination will be held in the office of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, in Kolkata.
PANCHAYAT ACCOUNTS AND AUDIT OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 164 Nos. (UR-84, SC-36, ST-10, BC-29, PH-05)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)
Desirable: Diploma in Computer Applications
Age Limit: Not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.7,100/- Rs.37,600/- and Grade Pay of Rs.3,600/- plus other allowances.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

Closing date for submission of online application: The 20.12.2016 (upto 12-00 midnight)
Closing date for submission of fees through online: The 20.12.2016(upto 12-00 midnight)
Closing date for submission of fees through offline: The 21.12.2016
* However, the Challan must be generated by the 20.12.2016 positively.
