This women's College was established in 1957 in this lovely natural environment of Gope Campus which has witnessed many glorious experiences of freedom struggle and which still bears foot prints of many greet revolutionaries. We pay our gratitude to Bharat Ratna Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy who had helped a lot for expansion of this college during its early days. The State Govt. , Central Govt. and UGC have enabled us to extend several facilities to the students.
