West Bengal SSC inviting 390 various post through Combined Graduate Level Exam 2015

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WB SSC) is inviting online application from eligible Indian Citizens for recruitment to 390 posts of – Inspector, Minority Development Officer, Research Investigator and Fishery Extension Officer. selection  of  which  will  be  made  by  the West  Bengal  Staff  Selection  Commission. WB SSC Vacancies Details:

 

  • Inspector, Backward Classes Welfare (Group – B): 331 Nos. (Gen—85; SC—73; ST—20; BC—53). Out of total 10 reserved for PH candidates
  • Minority Development Officer (Group – B): 13 Nos. (Gen—6; SC—3; ST—1; BC—3). 01 reserved for PH candidates.
  • Research Investigator (Group – B): 06 Nos. (Gen—3; SC—2; BC—1). 01 reserved for PH.
  • Fishery Extension Officer: 40 Nos. (Gen—22; SC—9; ST—2; BC—7). Out of total 01 reserved for PH candidates.

 

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

  • FOR THE POST OF INSPECTOR, BACKWARD CLASSES WELFARE

Qualification: Candidates must possess a degree of a recognized University or its equivalent and must have the ability to read, write and speak Bengali.

Age Limit: Not below 20 years and not more than 32 years as on the 1st January 2014.

 

  • FOR THE POST OF MINORITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

 

Qualification: A Degree from a recognized University or equivalent and candidates should be acquainted with social customs and culture of the Minorities of West Bengal.

 

Age Limit: The candidates shall be at age not more than 32 years and not less than 18 years as on the 1st January 2014.

 

  • FOR THE POST OF RESARCH INVESTIGATOR

 

Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree with Anthropology or Economics and Sociology and At least two years experience on Socio-economic investigation surveys and analysis of data in an Organization or Institute.

 

Age Limit: Not more than 32 years on the 1st day of January, 2014.

 

  • FOR THE POST OF FISHERY EXTENSION OFFICER

Qualification: A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Fishery Science from a recognized University and Knowledge of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic resources and Fishing Harbors’ in West Bengal and Must be able to read and write Bengali or Nepali.

 

Age Limit: Not more than 32 years on the 1st day of January 2014.

 

Pay Scale (For all above posts): Rs.7100 — 37,600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3900/-

 

 

Selection Process: Selection of the candidates will be carried by West Bengal Staff Selection Commission through Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination-2014. Detailed  scheme  of  examination  will  be  decided  by  the  Commission  depending  on  the number of applications received for each post and the same will be  published in Commission’s  website in the month of February, 2015.

 

 

Exam Fee: All  categories  of  candidates  except  Scheduled  Caste  /  Scheduled  Tribe  /  Persons  with Disabilities (of 40% and above only) shall pay  Examination fees  of  Rs. 200/-  and  Processing fees of Rs. 20/- (Total amount - Rs. 220/-) only. No exemption of fees is available to the SC / ST / BC-A / BC-B candidates.

 

 

How to apply: Interested and eligible candidates may be submitted only through ONLINE to the Commission Website www.wbssc.gov.in TO 19TH JANUARY, 2015 (UPTO 4.00 P.M.).
