অস্কার ২০১৪ সেরা ছবির পুরস্কার পেলেন স্টিভ ম্যাকুইনের 'টুয়েলভ ইয়ার্স আ স্লেভ' । ‘ব্লু জেসমিন’ সিনেমায় অসাধারণ অভিনয় করে ‘সেরা অভিনেত্রী’ বিভাগে অস্কার অর্জন করেন কেইট ব্লানচেট । ‘সেরা অভিনেতা’র অস্কার জিতে নিয়েছেন ম্যাথিউ ম্যাককোনাহে। ‘সেরা অ্যানিমেটেড’ চলচ্চিত্রের পুরস্কারটি জিতে নিয়েছেন ডিজনির সর্বশেষ অ্যানিমেশন ‘ফ্রোজেন’ । ‘সেরা সিনেমাটোগ্রাফি’, ‘সেরা সাউন্ড এডিটিং’, ‘সেরা সাউন্ড মিক্সিং’, ‘সেরা আবহ সংগীত’  এবং ‘সেরা ভিজ্যুয়াল ইফেক্ট’-এর পুরস্কারও গেছে ‘গ্র্যাভিটি’র ঘরে। ‘বিদেশি ভাষার সেরা চলচ্চিত্র’-এর পুরস্কার জিতে নিয়েছে ইতালির সিনেমা ‘দ্য গ্রেট বিউটি’। সিনেমাটি পরিচালনা করেছেন পাওলো সোরেন্তিনো।‘সেরা চিত্রনাট্য (অরিজিনাল)’-এর অস্কার অর্জন করেছেন স্পাইক জোঞ্জ, ‘হার’ সিনেমার সুবাদে।   Award Winners:

Dmitry Muratov has for decades defended freedom of speech in Russia under increasingly challenging conditions.

The 2021 Nobel Prize Laureates in Physics

The 2021 Nobel Prize in Physics is awarded with one half jointly to Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann “for the physical modelling of Earth’s climate, quantifying variability and reliably predicting global warming” and the other half to Giorgio Parisi “for the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales”.

The 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2021 is awarded to Benjamin List and David MacMillan “for the development of asymmetric organocatalysis”. Their tools revolutionised the construction of molecules.

The 2021 Nobel Prize Laureate in Literature

The Nobel Prize in Literature for 2021 is awarded to the novelist Abdulrazak Gurnah “for his uncompromising and compassionate penetration of the effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee in the gulf between cultures and continents.”
